Listed below is some useful information dealing with Medicare, private health care funds
and our appointment and cancellation policy.
Medicare
Rebate
Medicare benefits are available for a range of specified psychology services.
To receive psychological services under Medicare, a person must be referred by their GP and be in possession of a Mental Health Care Plan.
Private Health
Care Funds
Most Private Health Fund insurers offer rebates on psychological services by approved psychologists.
For more information check with your own private health fund.
Payment
Facilities
Individual consultations are payable on the day of the consultation.
Onepsych accepts Eftpos, Mastercard, Visa and cash.
Referrals
Referrals are not required unless you are covered by the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan or have been involved in an accident (MAIB) or other compensation scheme.
​Referrals are not required for private fee paying clients.

Mental Health Care Plans
A Mental Health Care Plan, referred by your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician allow patients up to ten sessions per calendar year.
A Mental Health Care Plan
is required to claim psychology sessions through Medicare.
Cancellation
Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, however
we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment.
Failure to advise within 24 hours notice may arise in an invoice for 50% of the treatment cost.
